Port Vila, Vanuatu’s oldest scuba diving operation is for sale. Nautilus Watersports is now on the market.
To create an inventory for Nautilus is a massive task. We are simply not going to go through and count every knife, fork and spoon at this stage. What I have attempted to do here is give you an overview of what is included.
Nautilus Watersports/Wild Blue Fishing Charters has been owned by Pete and Leanne Phillipps for 22 years. It’s been a passion and a great family business providing a great lifestyle however we would like to retire.
If you’re looking for a business and a great work environment in Port Vila that’s up and running and profitable pre covert here it is. Don’t forget Vanuatu is still a tax haven.
Pre-COVID we ran 2 dive boats daily. We have sold the boats at the start of the pandemic.
I have put some photos in here to give you an idea of what comes with the business. Basically, I would take my workshop tools “Not Diving Related” and everything else would be included. There is lots of diving-related and odds and sods that can be gone through if you were perusing a purchase. Example double tank rigs, back plates “Non B.C.D” assorted S/H equipment that I have just kept as spares.
Really, I think the best option is for an interested party to come and have a look and you can get a better idea if this is for you.

Fishing Charter Business
We are including Wild Blue Fishing Charters. This fishing charter business was the busiest in Vanuatu due to its positioning, both price-wise and being located right in the heart of Port Vila. Stormbird runs many days with a skilled skipper and deckhand and a very good range of tackle. Wild Blue Fishing Charters also conducts fishing charters for the visiting cruise boats.
NOTE: Fishing Vessels were sold at the beginning of COVID-19.
Upstairs above the dive shop is the Studio and Dorm.
These are semi self-contained and everything is included as well.

The Farey
Last but not least is the Farey which used to be our humble abode where Leanne and I lived for 12 years and has now become my office. The Farey has its own private bathroom and small walk through rob.
We would just empty out our personal possessions.
We are looking to sell this operation to an enthusiastic operator that would like to continue with Vanuatu’s longest-running dive operation. This operation serviced cruise boats, resorts, and many international divers and anglers.
There is a long lease available on the premises and the possibility of a rent share with a commercial diving operator as well.
Figures are available from pre-COVID and booking diaries are also on hand.
What you need:
We are open to reasonable offers to take over existing plant and equipment.
You will need to purchase a dive boat or boats and if you wanted to continue with fishing a fishing vessel will be required. We still have lots of tackle available. The web presence is up and running and still generating inquiries. This has been a great family, lifestyle business for my wife and me, and our children, and it’s been a great place for family and friends to come and holiday.
What better time to purchase an existing Watersports operation with the boarders opening on the 1st July.
